tragedy at newtown, connecticut and the picture, the first grade picture has been released and just drives home the incredible loss and tragedy. this was one classroom and now the name, vicky soto's class, the 27-year-old teacher who had the zest for life who was killed. and many cite her as a hero and half of the class was saved and the story goes, we don't know, this is reported by six and seven year olds and the story was vague, she apparently hid them all in a closet and when she was killed, when she confronted the gunman and told them that she had sent them to the auditorium, she was killed and when some of the kids heard the gunshots, they ran out and they were killed. >> clayton: and olivia engel, apparently this photo was released by olivia's mother and appeared in the new york post this morning and as we continue to talk about what unfolded that day and of course, you look at the horrible images and many people were reminded what happened and unfolded in columbine, of course. then on friday, this was exacerbated this discussion about gun control and whether or not there should be

-- the greatest malibu ever. ♪ >>> there's been a lot of talk about gun laws since the shootings in newtown, connecticut. one result seems to be increased support for tougher gun laws. 58% of americans polled say they want to see stricter gun laws as opposed to 34% who wants things kept the way they are. compare that to a year ago when only 43% wanted to see stricter laws. it's worth remembering, however, that support for tougher laws often spikes and then fades after mass shootings. of course, the nra always stands in the way of any new or reviewed restrictions, but, of course, we all know that. and we'll be right back. mine was earned off vietnam in 1968. over the south pacific in 1943. i got mine in iraq, 2003. usaa auto insurance is often handed down from generation to generation. because it offers a superior level of protection, and because usaa's commitment to serve the military, veterans and their families is without equal. begin your legacy, get an auto insurance quote. usaa. we know what it means to serve. c'mon, michael! get in the game!
